Spain has sent Ukraine the first batch of repaired Leopard tanks. This is reported by Reuters.
According to the agency, the ship with a batch of six combat vehicles left the port of Santander on Friday, April 21. It should arrive in Poland, from where the tanks will then be redirected to Ukraine.
Earlier, the head of the Spanish Defense Ministry, Margarita Robles, said that Madrid should deliver Leopard to Kiev by the end of April. It is assumed that four more tanks will be handed over to the Ukrainian side in the future.
Earlier in April, an officer of the volunteer battalion "Sokol" with the call sign Bull said that German Leopard tanks supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine had already begun operating in the Kherson direction. Leopard was observed in the vicinity, and also recorded the shelling of checkpoints from them. One of the sabotage detachments even managed to capture a combat vehicle.
